Hospitality

Maravedis works with the HTNG to analyze technology and connectivity trends in the hospitality industry.

HTNG (Hospitality Technology Next Generation), once a nonprofit, is now under the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), functioning as a committee with its own leadership group, the T100.

The T100 includes vendor, hotelier, and innovation subcommittees. Dayna co-chairs the innovation arm with two hospitality CIOs.

HTNG’s mission includes creating best practicesRFP guidelines, and educational outputs rather than enforceable global standards.

The industry structure includes brands (like Hilton, Marriott, IHG)owners, and local service providers (LSPs), each with differing priorities:

  • Brands value standardized systems for operational efficiency.
  • Owners often resist these standards due to vendor lock-in and cost inflexibility.
  • LSPs, often small and under-resourced, struggle to adapt to new technologies and are seeing diminishing roles.
